Abstract
Ferrocement is a type of reinforced concrete walls, thin (3.00) cm, made of hydraulic cement
mortar were reinforced with wire mesh/mesh (wiremesh) are continuous and dense layers as
well as the relatively small size of the wire, ferrocement is an alternative construction
technology has been used in the provision of water supply and various irrigation development,
which is easy to apply. The results are robust, flexible, durable, and is more economical and
easier to be adopted into good physical principles, mechanics and hydraulics theory is right,
the other advantage is the use of local materials and can be made in situ or elsewhere
(precast), then assembled in the field, hence tertiary ferrocement box technology innovation
will be more effective and efficient, in addition to the method used is quite simple and can be
adopted in various locations.

Pendahuluan
Pengembangan dan pengelolaan sistem irigasi merupakan salah satu faktor dalam
mendukung kebijakan pemerintah untuk mewujudkan produktifitas usaha tani guna
meningkatkan produksi pertanian dalam rangka ketahanan pangan nasional dan kesejahteraan
masyarakat khususnya petani melalui keberlanjutan system irigasi, sebagaimana diamanatkan
pada peraturan pemerintah (PP) No. 20 tahun 2006 Tentang Irigasi.
